All the drilling is complete and the excavator is finishing the excavation and shoring installation. You can see the drilling rig in the background, waiting to be taken offsite.

Here are a couple of photos showing the shoring progress. Sometimes the excavator sits rather precariously at the top of the excavation. However the operator, Pepe, is highly skilled at operating his equipment in a careful and safe manner.

Sometimes the bucket is used as an “elevator”. I am not sure this innovative procedure is “OSHA approved”.
